My week of Mexican inspired posts is turning into two weeks, as I have been in a whirl of working, and shopping at new discoveries such as Retromex. I was starting to think the shop did not exist, but I finally spotted it in on HIldebrand, between a car wash and a fruteria. The shop owner, Pilar, has a fantastic eye. I focused on home goods, but her vintage jewelry offerings look amazing. Open Wednesday – Saturday between 12 and 5. Call first to confirm hours, 210-736-4080.

This place is a disappointment. The owner is actually very rude and the merchandise is overpriced. Don't shop here.
Road to Wonder says: I'm sorry you have had this experience. I have found reasonably priced furniture and textiles, esp compared to other stores here in town and in Austin.
